Renaud Chavanne studied philosophy and Arabic which took him to Egypt and then to Syria. He then worked as a computer consultant, before embarking on a career as a journalist. In a few years, he will then sign for many titles of the general public or specialized press (Le Monde, La Tribune, Internet Professional, etc.). In 1996, Renaud Chavanne co-authored Le Guide professionnelle des services en ligne at Eyrolles, a book that focuses on BBS, the missing link between the Minitel and the Internet. In 1998, he founded the Cyclope Presse agency before creating the Digital Business Globe in 1999. Since 2011, he has been the president of the comic strip festival SoBD, which is held in Paris.
